An era is over!

As you may be aware of we have decided to put collectbadges.com up for sale. And our deadline for running the site was 10^th of September.

We have now passed this deadline. That’s why you are now reading this message.

For more than five years ago collectbadges.com was born.

Those 5 years has involved a lot of fun, much work with late nights to keep the site running for you guys.

We have with ~2000 registered users had + 20.000 bids on ~10.000 sold items. Totally listing on the site has passed 50.000 during these years.

The numbers above is just on the current running software (since 2007), as you old fellows in the community know we have switched software a couple of times, and had one system meltdown. Each and every one of those has made us all starting from scratch with everything, including feedbacks of yours.

During this year’s we are proud to say that our user must be the most tolerant users that a community like this could have. You have always been trustful to the site. Even when we have been down in weeks you have come back to as soon as it was online again.

But most important; you could behave, of course there has been some “less serious people” on the site from time to time, and we have tried to sort them out as soon as we was aware of them.

We are aware of that we have not been that serious our self from time to time with the site.

To be honestly we have not done our work as good as we should have.

And that is one of the reasons why the site was/is for sale.

The founder of Collectbadges.com left the hobby four years ago, but have let the site been up and running for free to let the hobby live on.

From time to time we have tried to sell the site, for a various reason there has not been possible to do it. Money issues & doubtful buyers to mention some.

We are now in the time in life where we can´t continue running the site, the absolute main reason for it is that we do not have any interest in the hobby left, and the time for something that you´re not interesting in is as you know not much. Plain and simple as that.

So this is the end of story.

We have not yet closed any deal with a potential buyer. There for we have made the decision to set the site in paus. If there is anyone out there that wants to close the deal you are welcome to contact us at offers@collectbadges.com
